Welcome to ''Ognib Drag Brunch," the name given to the regular Sunday afternoon event at the Randoplh Country Club in Boston. That's “Ognib”, as in Bingo spelled backwards. And Drag, as in drag queen.
This new kind of Bingo, presented by drag queens, may bring a sort of revival to the game. Even if most of Bingo players are senior, it is possible that the “strangeness” of seeing a drag queen in a Bingo hall brings a younger public to play Bingo.
When a player wins, he has to yell “Ognib” even though most people find it a bit hard and can´t help but yelling the “B” word.
Drag Queen Bingo games started popping up all over the country in the late 1990s. The Randolph Country Club has been a prominent fixture on the local gay scene for decades.
